Use His Gifts - 26 December 2021



How would you feel if those you love never opened the gifts you gave them, or if they opened them but just set them on a shelf and never used them? I know I would be disappointed that they didn't get to experience the joy I wanted them to have!
 
Today while I was at church I was really struck by how much God loves us and how WILLING Jesus Christ is to forgive and help us! Jesus Christ WILLINGLY suffered for our sins and our pains so that He could have the ability to forgive, cleanse, strengthen, help and heal us from anything negative we experience!

Too often we think that God despises us because of our imperfections or that He sighs in irritation the more we ask for His help. There might be people like that in the world, but that is NOT who Christ is! Jesus WANTS to help us and he WANTS us to use His gifts! That's the whole reason why He came! As a friend of mine once put it, we might be tired, but Christ is never tired. Jesus Christ is ALWAYS eager to help us recover and give us strength to keep going. He says, "As often as my people repent will I forgive them" (Mosiah 26:30). So let's not hesitate to keep trying, come unto Him and USE HIS GIFTS!
